However, the patenting process is complicated, and costs are incurred at the many stages of the procedure. In order to reduce the impact of these costs, and to make it easier for clients to budget, we are happy to discuss your needs and to work to an agreed fixed fee for drafting and filing of new cases, once we have assessed the subject matter.

 

We can also estimate prosecution costs for your case, linked to a calendar, enabling you to set an approximate budget for future costs likely to be incurred. Generally, we work in the traditional manner of working on an hourly basis, combined with fixed service charges and official fees.

 

Please note that for UK clients, VAT is added to all service fees, but not patent office official fees. For new clients, we offer a free initial consultation and part payment is required in advance of services.
